As the Chicago Bears inch closer and closer towards training camp, one cannot help to think about the many players that are on the bubble of making the roster.

At one point, Desmond Trufant was considered a lock to make the roster following his signing. That was until the play of the 2nd year man Kindle Vildor throughout offseason workouts.

There will be some tough cuts this year, with the Bears having plenty of candidates that fit in that category . The most notable one is wide receiver Anthony Miller. After his rookie season, everything looked up for the former Memphis standout.

Going into his second year, most fans expected that second-year jump. In his third year, he saw his starting spot get snagged by Darnell Mooney.

The Chicago Bears head into training camp with some key players that are on the bubble of making the 53-man roster.

Going into year four, the future for Miller looks bleak. Allen Robinson and Mooney are solidified as the team’s number one and two options at the position. The team is high on TE Cole Kmet, who could potentially be the Bears’ third option in the passing game.

When you add in weapons like Tarik Cohen, Marquise Goodwin, and Damiere Byrd, you can easily see Miller not only getting phased out of the offense but might be not making it out of the preseason with a roster spot.

The Bears invested two second-round picks in Miller in 2018; him not making the roster would be another stain on General manager Ryan Pace’s resume. With that in mind, we take a deep dive into the three major things that Miller must prove in training camp this year.
