The Chicago Cubs could trade Craig Kimbrel to the San Francisco Giants

Finally, the Cubs could deal Kimbrel to the San Francisco Giants. The Giants went into Saturday with a 2.0 game lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers, and again, are playing in the toughest division in baseball right now. Still looking up at both the Dodgers and Giants are the Padres, just four games out of first.

This last package is a pretty excellent one for the Cubs, who would walk away with two top-100 prospects coming in from San Francisco.

First, Chicago would get the no. 63 overall prospect in the MLB Top 100 in outfielder Heliot Ramos. Chosen to represent the Giants in this year’s futures game, Ramos could become a big part of the Cubs’ immediate future if dealt.

Second, the Giants would send the no. 84 overall prospect and their no. 5 prospect Seth Corry. The lefty has struck out 75 batters in 46 innings for the Eugene Emeralds this year and is posting a modest 4.66 ERA.
