Anthony Rizzo of the Chicago Cubs deserves to be a National League All-Star.

The Chicago Cubs are lucky to have had Anthony Rizzo for as long as they did. They stayed loyal to each other early on and they were both rewarded for it. Now, Anthony is known as one of the greatest players in the history of the franchise. Unfortunately, he is going to be missing from the National League All-Star roster this year.

Rizzo isn’t having the best season of his career but he is always someone that is good enough to be considered for the mid-summer classic. Rizzo is one of the best first basemen in the National League. Rizzo is one of those MLB players that feels like he should be there every year but he is a snub in the year 2021. There is plenty of time left in his career for him to add more appearances but we don’t know what jersey he will be wearing.

Rizzo is in the final year of his current contract. It doesn’t sound like the negotiations are going well between the two sides so the future is unclear. It sounds like he wants to be a Cub for the rest of his career but the Cubs have to decide if they want him for the long haul. Either way, it is pretty sad that he won’t be at the All-Star Game.
