The Chicago Cubs could trade Kris Bryant to the New York Yankees

Back to Bryant, whom the Cubs could probably get the most for in return. A team like the New York Yankees is not one you want to count out at the trade deadline. This season, they have underwhelmed and Brian Cashman knows it.

He’s preached that this is not acceptable by any means, and he’s going to attempt to fix it. Currently hovering around .500, the Yankees still have time to right the ship and they could start by adding a bat like Bryant. If they wanted him, though, the price would be steep.

The Yankees currently have only one prospect in the MLB Top 50 — that being outfielder Jasson Dominguez at number 24. You better believe Dominguez is part of this deal. Beyond Dominguez, you have to go all the way down to the current number 69 overall prospect in righty Clark Schmidt. He gets thrown in as well.

From there, New York would then scoot down their own list of prospects to their number six, catcher Austin Wells. Along with those three, the Yankees would finally include second baseman Ezequiel Duran, their number 15 prospect.

Once again, it’s a hefty price to pay. But, Bryant will be worth every penny to his potential buyer.
