Duncan Keith of the Chicago Blackhawks would look great on the Edmonton Oilers.

The Chicago Blackhawks may be lucky enough to land a second and fourth-round pick for Duncan Keith. A team like the Edmonton Oilers may be able to pull off a trade like this. They could really use some help on defense, even if it is a short-term band-aid typer player like Duncan Keith. He might be able to go there and fit in as a top-four defenseman which is something they desperately need.

The Oilers just signed Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to a long-term deal so they have their three best forwards locked up long term. The other two are Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl who are both top ten players in the league as a whole. Duncan Keith would love to have the opportunity to play on a team with multiple players that prolific.

We all know about how well he has played with Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews over the years so he should know what to expect if he went to the Oilers. We don’t know how close they are to being a Stanley Cup contender but acquiring someone like Keith certainly wouldn’t hurt their chances. For Keith, it would absolutely be a better situation than this current Blackhawks team.
