A trade involving a 2nd round pick instead of a first could land the Chicago Bulls Lillard.

This trade is heavily centered around the fact that the Blazers would be getting Patrick Williams at the helm of their inevitable rebuild. Williams had an extremely successful first season with the Bulls. He was most recently selected to the All-Rookie second team and quite possibly could be the best defensive rookie in his class.

Including Thaddeus Young is strategic because Carmelo Anthony could leave the Blazers this offseason, thus creating a need at the power forward position. Plus, adding on White again will make up for the fact that they lost a scoring point guard.

This one could be overdoing it on the Bulls’ side. The trade is filled with talent. The only palpable error in the deal is that Young has one year left on his contract and he is a veteran they would not have use for in the future.

Regardless, the Blazers are obtaining young core pieces to work with for the start of their rebuild and more draft capital. The Bulls would have a lot of work rebuilding their roster. They would have to be set with Satoransky as their backup point guard and would also need a starting power forward and a small forward as well. Either way, it’s another fair trade for both sides.
