819. . LW. Fighting Irish . Sasha Pastujov. 12. player

Sasha Pastujov might make Notre Dame fans proud for a long time one day.

Sasha Pastujov is one of the highest projected prospects in all of college hockey. He is the only Notre Dame player that feels like a first-round pick at this point in time. If he isn’t drafted in the first round, that means he fell and will be taken at some point in the second round. If it is in the 20s, there is a good chance he lands with a really solid NHL organization.

Who knows, maybe even one of the Stanley Cup finalists takes their chances on him. That is the place to be drafted if you are a young kid heading into college. Pastujov played for the United States National Development Program before this and is now committed to playing for the Irish as he looks to make his NHL dream come true.

When he gets to Notre Dame, he should have a good time playing with some incredibly skilled players around him. You never know what happens with development but he could grow into being the best player on the team. A good year for the Irish could lead to him getting a pro hockey chance sooner than later but his development should be the biggest thing on his mind and the minds of the organization that spends a high pick on him.
