Mattias Janmark returning to the Chicago Blackhawks might pay off well.

The Chicago Blackhawks traded Mattias Janmark to the Vegas Golden Knights in the middle of the season. They actually made a great trade for themselves as Janmark was on an expiring deal. Vegas enjoyed having him as well as he played very well for them. They didn’t win the Stanley Cup with him but you can’t say they didn’t try.

Janmark would most likely come back on a one or two-year deal which makes a lot of sense for him and the Blackhawks. He has put together a few good years in a row which makes him a valuable bottom-six forward. The Hawks loved having this guy as he was great for them for multiple long stretches at a time.

In 56 games split between the Hawks and Knights, he had 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points. It isn’t game-breaking production but it is solid nonetheless. His goals always seem to come at the best moments as well which is nice. If the Hawks can snag him up they can watch him produce in the early parts of the season. If they exceed expectations and make the playoffs, that would be awesome. If they are bad like we all think they will be, they can trade him for more assets for the second year in a row.
