Playoff free agents for the Chicago Bulls to pursue: PG Spencer Dinwiddie

If Reggie Jackson isn’t the guy, Spencer Dinwiddie certainly good be. The Brooklyn Nets point guard has an intriguing summer coming up. Last year, Dinwiddie suffered an ACL injury and also wouldn’t have been the team’s starting point guard as Kylie Irving owned that job.

Now, Dinwiddie enters free agency in an interesting position. Coming off a major injury and also finally establishing himself in the NBA, Dinwiddie is looking to get paid.

Most likely, teams will be looking past the 2020-2021 season and remembering what he did in the best year of his career during the 2019-2020 campaign. That season, Dinwiddie averaged 20.6 points, 6.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds as the Nets’ primary starting point guard.

Some Bulls fans may remember Dinwiddie as a member of the Windy City Bulls, but Chicago never ended up hanging onto him. Now having declined his $12.3 million player option for next season, Dinwiddie could be set to return to Chicago but on a more permanent deal.

The Bulls will absolutely be doing something this offseason at the point guard position, but which guy they go after remains to be seen. Will it be Dinwiddie?
