Chicago Blackhawks: 3 Kirby Dach for Seth Jones trade packages

Seth Jones would cost a hefty price for the Chicago Blackhawks to land him.

The Chicago Blackhawks giving up a first-round pick and Kirby Dach for Seth Jones would have its pros and cons. For one, they would have to be certain that he is going to sign a multi-year extension otherwise it would be a horrible trade. That much is clear. If that was figured out before the trade, then they might consider pulling the trigger on a deal like that.

Kirby Dach would go to Columbus and have a chance at being their top-line center. They no longer have Pierre-Luc Dubios after they traded him to the Winnipeg Jets earlier in the season so the spot is there in the long term. That part of the deal would be really nice for the Blue Jackets.

Losing a number one defenseman like Jones would be tough but getting that number one center would intrigue any team that doesn’t have one. That 2021 first-round pick would probably be a nice get for the Blue Jackets as well. It is the 11th overall pick in a draft that has a lot of wild cards. Due to the lack of scouting this year, it makes it an even crazier draft than it was originally planned to be. It is a lot to give up but it may be worth it.
