Trade 3: The Chicago Bulls trade two young players and a few picks for Luka Doncic

In this last deal, the Bulls would start by once again sending Coby White to Dallas. But, along with White, the Mavericks would also get last year’s first rounder, forward Patrick Williams. Bulls fans wouldn’t like seeing Williams leave, but it would be worth it in the end.

In Williams, the Mavericks would be getting a young forward who excels on the defensive end and does all of the little things right. Early physical comparisons to Kawhi Leonard certainly helped raise Williams’ stock as a rookie.

From a relative unknown in the pre-draft process, to the number four overall pick, Williams rose quickly the closer it came to draft day. Dallas would get a true defensive cornerstone and do-it-all forward to build around.

Chicago would also be dealing the Mavericks a first-round pick in 2022 and in 2024, along with the rights to swap first-round picks in 2026, making it a potential three firsts to land Luka, along with two young players.

This is quite a bit to give up, but if the Bulls could end up with Doncic, LaVine and Vucevic as their big three, they would be immediate contenders. A lot to give up? Sure. Worth it? Absolutely.
