Chicago Bulls: 3 players that would benefit from a Luka Doncic trade
By Ryan Taylor
Nikola Vucevic would be the first man to benefit from Doncic’s presence on the floor. Vucevic averaged 21.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in his 26 games with the Bulls this season.
Doncic knows how to work with big men in Dallas.
With Kristaps Porzingis, Doncic averaged 29.1 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 8.0 assists with Porzingis on the floor with him.
Thinking more specifically to in-game situations, the duo of Doncic and Vucevic would be deadly in many different ways offensively. The two could with and without each other through a plethora of possibilities.
Doncic is a slow player that often uses the pick-and-roll from his big men. Bulls fans already know how well Vucevic can play in the pick-and-roll because of his ability to pop out for a shot or post-up a mismatch. The versatility of both players in the pick-and-roll would cause a lot of uncertainty for a defense.
Doncic, as I alluded to in the previous paragraph, can post up strong in the paint. NBA fans have seen Doncic back down Kawhi Leonard in the post in the playoffs. This can create a lot of freedom for Vucevic to roam and find spots for the catch-and-shoot.
