Chicago Bears: 5 available players the Bears could add before camp
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bears could sign Aaron Lynch
Going back to the edge rusher position, the Bears could opt to add a familiar face who would come in and be familiar with what the team does on defense. Aaron Lynch spent the first four years of his career with the San Francisco 49ers as a kid with lots of potential as a pass rusher.
He then played two seasons with the Bears as a rotational pass rusher and filled in nicely there. Lynch went from Chicago to Jacksonville last season, where he appeared in eight games.
Still looking for a new home, Lynch would be able to come in and compete for a roster spot, at the very least. Outside linebacker is a position that needs to have a little fire put behind it.
In two seasons with the Bears, Lynch totaled 20 quarterback pressures, 17 quarterback hits, seven tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks. He would be a valuable addition to this outside linebacker room and would give the Bears one more asset on a front seven which could be one of the best in all of football.
