Anthony Rizzo is one of the greatest players the Chicago Cubs have ever had.

Anthony Rizzo has been one of the more vocal Chicago Cubs players throughout the process. He just wants to be treated fairly and it doesn’t sound like the Cubs were into it before the season began. You never know how things are going to go now that the season is well underway and it is a good team but it was a bad time right before the season started.

It sounds like the Cubs and Rizzo want to remain together but it doesn’t seem like as much of a lock as you would imagine. Back when these conversations first started to surface, Rizzo felt like the one guy who would resign no matter what but that isn’t the case. They are not going to sign him unless they treat him the way he wants to be treated. He has earned that.

Rizzo is one of the greatest players in the history of the franchise. He was one of the main catalysts on the Cubs team that ended a 108 year World Series drought. He will be a legend in Chicago forever no matter what happens but it would be nice to see him end his career in a Cubs jersey. Seeing MLB Trade Rumors name him as someone to keep your eye on in the trade market is a very tough sight.
