Chicago Bulls: 3 free agents from the Los Angeles Lakers to pursue

The Chicago Bulls should consider signing Talen Horton-Tucker
One of the more underrated players to come out of the 2019 NBA Draft is Chicago native Talen Horton-Tucker. The Simeon standout played his college ball at Iowa State but wasn’t drafted until pick no. 46 by the Orlando Magic.

After being dealt to the Lakers for practically nothing, Horton-Tucker appeared in six games as a rookie. However, this past season, he played in 65 games and became a strong part of the rotation.
Horton-Tucker represents a significant commonality between all players on this list: he’s a solid defender. The Bulls need defense, and Horton-Tucker is one of those scrappy wings who simply puts in the effort.
This last year, he posted averages of 9.0 points, 2.8 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals in roughly 20 minutes per game. As essentially an afterthought on a superstar-filled team, Horton-Tucker made his impact known.
The Bulls have to completely renovate their wing position this summer, and have already begun the process by trading both Otto Porter Jr. and Chandler Hutchison. Adding Horton-Tucker to the mix, as a young and up-and-coming player, would be a quietly strong move for the Bulls.
