Nick Bonino would be a tremendous addition to the Chicago Blackhawks depth.

Nick Bonino has been all over the National Hockey league. He was a 5th round pick by the San Jose Sharks in the 2007 NHL Draft. Before ever playing in an NHL game, he was traded to the Anaheim Ducks and that is where he would play the first five years of his career.

He then spent a year with the Vancouver Canucks before playing two years with the Pittsburgh Penguins and three years with the Nashville Predators. He found himself playing for the Minnesota Wild this past season and he was very good for them. He is now looking to find a new home if he doesn’t sign an extension with the Minnesota Wild in the offseason.

Bonino had 10 goals and 16 assists for 26 points in 55 games played. That is great production from a very good third liner in the NHL. He has some flaws to his game but he would improve the depth of the 2021-22 Chicago Blackhawks. He would probably go right to their third line where he could either play center or wing. He won the Stanley Cup twice with the Penguins so you know he has plenty of experience to bring to the table.
