The Chicago Blackhawks are a very weak team defensively. They were not good at all at keeping their opponents from high danger chances and ranked near the bottom of the league. If they added a defenseman like Seth Jones over the offseason, things would look completely different. If he is willing to sign an extension, he might be worth the trade.

Seth Jones would be an amazing addition to the 2021-22 Chicago Blackhawks.

It came out on Saturday night via a report from Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman that Seth Jones has informed the Columbus Blue Jackets that he will not be signing an extension with them. It was the definition of a “hockey trade”. Each team landed something that they desperately needed. Jones has gone on to be great for the Jackets. He had a bit of an off-year on a bad Blue Jackets team but he would be worth a look for the Hawks. These three trades might get it done:
