C/LW. St. Louis Blues. Mike Hoffman. 68. player. 99.

A scorer like Mike Hoffman would look really good on the Chicago Blackhawks.

Mike Hoffman has had a very interesting career so far. He started off with the Ottawa Senators before making his way to the Florida Panthers. With Ottawa, he was a really good player but he took it to another level with the Florida Panthers in his stint there. After signing with the St. Louis Blues on a one-year deal before this season, he is no again looking for another team.

If he doesn’t go back to the St. Louis Blues, the Chicago Blackhawks would love having a player like that. He will begin the season as a 31-year-old and then celebrate his 32nd birthday at the end of November. There is a lot of productive hockey left in him.

He had 17 goals and 19 assists for 36 points in 52 games this season. If he brought some of that to the Blackhawks lineup on a regular basis, their forward group as a whole would look a whole lot different.

There is one Pittsburgh Penguins free agent to avoid at all costs. light. Related Story

Hoffman, along with the other St. Louis free agents, are all players who want to win. The Hawks still see themselves as playoff contenders so if they aren’t going to rebuild, they might as well use some of their newfound cap space on players like this.
