C. St. Louis Blues. Tyler Bozak. 21. player. 99.

The Chicago Blackhawks might look to add a veteran to their group over the summer.

Tyler Bozak is someone who the St. Louis Blues added a few years ago to bring a veteran presence to their group. Bozak played with the Toronto Maple Leafs for the first 9 years of his career and had a fair amount of individual success. The Leafs often failed to meet expectations but everything changed for him when he signed with the Blues ahead of the 2018-19 season. He would win the Stanley Cup for the first time in his career with the Blues that season.

Now, after three years playing with the Blues, Bozak finds himself looking for another contract. He is entering his age-35 season so he isn’t a young player anymore but he can still provide a lot to a team that needs a veteran. He had five goals and 12 assists for 17 points in 31 games this year which isn’t bad for a player of his status.

If Bozak was inserted into Chicago’s bottom six, it would instantly be better. They have a long way to go before they are a playoff team again but they certainly could use someone like this if they came in on a short-term cheap deal. There are a lot of young players that the Hawks have that would benefit significantly from a signing like this.
