Chicago Bulls: 5 free agents team must make decisions on

Chicago Bulls must make a decision on Denzel Valentine
The Bulls desperately need to overhaul their wings, and Denzel Valentine may be victim of that. Chicago already traded Otto Porter Jr. and Chandler Hutchison, and this summer, Valentine might be the final nail in the coffin of a complete overhaul.
The 2016 first-round pick has struggled with injuries since entering the league and even missed an entire season back in 2018-2019. Beyond having a hard time staying healthy, Valentine simply hasn’t been that good.
The type of player the Bulls thought they were getting coming out of MIchigan State hasn’t shown up yet on the pro stage. Valentine’s shooting is subpar (career 39.4 percent from the field) and he is an average defender at best.
This summer, the wing position is an area the Bulls should look to renovate in a big way, and allowing Valentine to find a new team should be in their plans. Now, if the Bulls re-signed Valentine on a minimum deal to be potentially the last guy on their roster, then that would be acceptable. However, Valentine is not a guy who should be playing any significant minutes.
