Veterans unlikely to make the Chicago Bears roster: Ryan Nall
For three years, Ryan Nall has had head coach Matt Nagy infatuated for some reason. After being an undrafted free agent in 2018, Nall has stuck around somehow, whether it be on the practice squad or active roster.
There are times where fans may think it’s a crucial down and Nagy sticks Nall in the game for whatever reason. This year, that more than likely changes. Nall won’t even be on this roster come September.
Aside from starter David Montgomery, the Bears have Tarik Cohen coming back and also signed veteran Damien Williams to act as a true backup. Even beyond those three, Chicago drafted Khalil Herbert to be their fourth running back and maybe even handle kick return duties.
With those four guys, the Bears are set at running back. There is zero need for Nall to stick around, unless he opts for a position change and becomes more of a fullback/tight end whose main job is to block.
The Bears are set at running back now, and Nall will either be a practice squad candidate or sign with another team later this year.
