Chicago Bears: 5 players who need to bounce back in 2021

Chicago Bears who need bounce back seasons in 2021: Tarik Cohen
The Bears played the majority of the 2020 season without running back Tarik Cohen after he suffered a torn ACL. Chicago’s depth at the position, or lack thereof, really showed itself after that.
This offseason, the Bears signed veteran Damien Williams to ensure David Montgomery had a viable backup. With Cohen being more of the gadget player and a punt returner, Chicago desperately needed a true backup type. They got that in Williams.
Chicago also then drafted Khalil Herbert out of Virginia Tech, presumably to help handle kickoff duties. Herbert is also a running back who can excel in both the passing and running game, though, too.
In addition to bolstering their running back room and giving Cohen a bit more of a crowd to work with, the Bears can get out of Cohen’s contract next year with only $3.5M in dead money.
Cohen is coming back from injury to a much more crowded positional group. He’s also going to be playing this season in honor of his twin brother whom he tragically lost recently. My money is on Cohen stepping up in a big way and reminding the Bears what kind of player he is, and just how dangerous he can be.
