Big name free agent targets for the Chicago Bulls: Mike Conley
Yet another veteran point guard makes this list due to positional need for the Bulls, but also because there are some great players available at the position this summer. Long time Memphis Grizzlies point guard and current Utah Jazz All Star Mike Conley is coming up on unrestricted free agency.
Like a couple of other guys on this list, Conley is likely looking for a place he can win a championship — that’s assuming of course, that he does make his way to another team. What he has going right now with the Utah Jazz is pretty comfortable. The Jazz did end the season as the Western Conference’s number one seed, after all.
The 14-year NBA veteran would come to Chicago as the ultimate leader, being able to mentor guys like Coby White and any incoming rookies. Over his lengthy career, Conley has been one of the most consistent point guards in basketball. He may not have earned his first All Star bid until this current season, but Conley is as seasoned and diversely-talented as they come.
It’s tough to see him leaving Utah after what they’ve been able to accomplish over the last two seasons, but if Conley hits free agency, he’d be a viable target for Chicago.
