Chicago Bulls: 5 big name free agents to target this summer

Big name free agent targets for the Chicago Bulls: Chris Paul
It is tough to see Chris Paul foregoing his player option with the Phoenix Suns this summer after helping lead that team to the Western Conference’s number two seed in one of his most impressive seasons ever. But, if he did opt for free agency, Paul would be a phenomenal target for the Bulls.
The turnaround Paul helped provide in Phoenix was remarkable this season. Heading to Phoenix was never supposed to mean Paul and the Suns would become one of the best teams in basketball. But, here we are, as Phoenix finished the regular season with a record of 51-21.
Paul’s leadership, and continued play at a high level, has lifted Phoenix to new heights. Even at 36 years old, Paul posted nearly nine assists per game this past season. If he were to join forces with Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic, Paul could wind up with a similar average, if not more.
A “big three” of Paul, LaVine and Vucevic should be more than enough for the Bulls to challenge for a top-four seed in the Eastern Conference and would make them a real interesting team to watch next year, especially if they end up with a nice draft pick.
