Chicago Blackhawks: NHL should take advantage of NFL schedule
No league is as good at marketing its players as the National Football League. They announced their schedule on Wednesday night and there were so many great things to be excited about. There are some great games on deck for our Chicago Bears as they try to transition to a new franchise quarterback. The Chicago Blackhawks, however, are on the downward right now. The National Hockey League, however, can do things to take advantage of the NFL schedule.
The Chicago Blackhawks should have a schedule made that takes advantage of the NFL schedule.
Of course, it is impossible to have an NHL team follow around their local NFL team but there is one game in particular that the schedule maker can take advantage of. The Chicago Blackhawks only played their temporary new division in 2020-21 thanks to the pandemic but the schedule should look more normal in 2021-22.
The Hawks should be reunited with the Vegas Golden Knights at some point next season. They will play them more than once and one of those times should be when the Bears are there. This match will be a Week Five game on October 10th, 2021.
It will be the first time that the Bears ever visit the Las Vegas Raiders in Vegas which is exciting. It is also the extra game this year as the NFL moves to a 17 game schedule. It should be a really good matchup of two teams that came in second place for the 2020 season.
Having the Hawks play the Golden Knights while the Bears are there is a brilliant idea because it would make the league so much money. A lot of Chicagoans would be sure to travel to Vegas if a weekend included a Hawks and Bears road game.
Those two last played in the playoff bubble. The Hawks were defeated in the “first round” of the playoffs that they didn’t deserve to make. Vegas is going into the current Stanley Cup playoffs with real championship aspirations. They are an elite team that presents problems to whoever they face. It is a long road to the final in that West Division right now but they are as good as any team in it right now.

No matter when it is, the Hawks playing the Golden Knights is going to be fun in 2021-22. We don’t know how good Chicago will be but the hope is that they are a little bit better. Seeing the Bears play in Las Vegas will be equally exciting, especially if Justin Fields is the full-time starter.
