Pius Suter has a chance to be a part of the Chicago Blackhawks going forward.

Chicago Blackhawks fans didn’t know exactly what they were going to see from Pius Suter when he first came on board. He is a young player out of Switzerland that was looking to make an impact as an NHL rookie. Some of his advanced metrics need work but he was pretty good at scoring goals for a player of his caliber.

His goal in the season finale was his 14th of the season. He also added in 13 points for 27 points in 55 games which aren’t bad at all for a third-line forward. If he brings that type of production to the team in 2021-22 while cleaning up his defensive game (that needs coaching), he will be a valuable contributor to the team.

He is just a nice forward to have. His ceiling isn’t extremely high like some people think but he can be a good bottom-six forward on a good team. He didn’t have many expectations so the fact that he had a 20 goal pace (over an 82 game schedule) was clearly above what we thought going in.

The Blackhawks just finished the weirdest season in franchise history. light. Hot

All of these guys are good players that can play roles on good teams. The rest of the organization isn’t doing too well around them (minus a couple of players) but they might be a part of the solution if all goes well. It was nice to see them succeed this year and the hope now is that they have strong summers so they can roll into camp ready to go.
