1. Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields will win the starting job

Take a look at the face Fields is making in the above photo. Study it. Learn it. Memorize it.

That’s the face every single Bears fan made when Matt Nagy first said that Andy Dalton remained his starting quarterback.

No matter what Nagy or Pace continue to say, it’s all what’s considered “coach speak.” They can continue to emphasize their belief in Dalton as much as they want. But, the fact of the matter is, there’s nothing they will be able to say once camp rolls around.

When Fields starts slinging it in training camp, making plays down field and with his legs, there is absolutely no chance he doesn’t win the starting job. It ain’t ending any other way. Fields will be the starter.

You’re telling me that Dalton, who had weapons like Amari Cooper, Ezekiel Elliott, CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup last year, and still underproduced, is going to be the Bears’ starter this year? Absolutely not.

Dalton was always the Plan B. Even if the Bears didn’t land a quarterback in the draft (which was Plan A), Dalton was always the fallback plan. He was who the Bears would ride with if all else failed, because he was a slight bit of an upgrade over Nick Foles.

Now that the Bears have Fields, he’s winning the job in training camp. You can bet your next month’s mortgage on it.
