Chicago Bears: 3 things to know about Teven Jenkins
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bears get an experienced, versatile player in Teven Jenkins
Throughout his three years starting for Oklahoma State, Jenkins played a little bit of everywhere. He pretty much went in with the mentality of, “anything I can do to help my team,” and from there was taken up on that offer.

Over his 35 starts for the Cowboys, Jenkins made 26 of them at right tackle. That’s where he could end up playing for the Bears, although Pace didn’t exactly give Charles Leno a strong endorsement when initially asked where Jenkins will play.
”We’ll have to sort that out,” Pace told the media.
That says Jenkins certainly has a shot at becoming the starting left tackle for the Bears, which would be more than feasible. Jenkins started seven games at left tackle for the Cowboys.
He told Bears media that he can play anywhere, and that he actually consistently asked his coaches to take reps at left tackle over the years, just in case something happened and he needed to step in. That tells me he is not only versatile, but smart. He understands the value of being able to play multiple positions.
The other two starts he made in college were at right guard, so Jenkins truly can play anywhere along the line. His athleticism allows for him to comfortably pull and get out in front no matter where he’s plugged in.
In the end, he’ll be a tackle, though. It’s nice to know he has played everywhere, because he understands responsibilities of all positions on the line. That’s a valuable trait.
