Allen Robinson gets a huge boost in multiple ways, thanks to Justin Fields

This might seem incredibly obvious, but it has to be talked about. Yes, the Bears’ number one receiver gets a boost from a legitimate, franchise quarterback. But, think about it for a minute.

Robinson has dealt with subpar quarterback play for his entire career. Dating back to college, he was catching passes from Christian Hackenberg. Then, he heads to the NFL and gets paired up with Blake Bortles of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Robinson heads to Chicago and he gets to catch passes from Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles.

He’s produced three 1,000-yard seasons since entering the league, while playing with these quarterbacks. That’s quite the feat. Now, he gets a dual-threat quarterback who relishes the big stage.

The intriguing aspect of this all is the contract situation. Maybe now the Bears feel some pressure to get a long-term deal done with Robinson before mid-July. On the flip side, maybe Robinson feels a little better about sticking around with the Bears.

Overall, Fields ensures the Robinson situation feels a whole lot better going forward. Fans can already breathe easier, knowing that Robinson has to be ecstatic about the Fields pick. He’s got to be ready to get to work, as is Fields. This tandem is going to be one exciting duo — hopefully for years to come.
