27. player. 49. . CB. Green Bay Packers. Eric Stokes

The Green Bay Packers aren’t going to be a threat to the Chicago Bears much longer.

The Green Bay Packers and their fans had a tough day yesterday. It all started when reports started coming out that Aaron Rodgers had absolutely no interest in returning there. There were rumors about certain teams presenting trade packages for him too which made it worse. The fact that he might be on his way out of Green Bay is bad news for them.

Why does he want out? Well, the 2021 NFL Draft showed exactly why. They don’t do anything to help him despite him being an MVP caliber player year in and year out. Since drafting him, they have not drafted a skill position on offense other than Jordan Love who is the replacement plan. That continued on Thursday when they drafted Eric Stokes out of the University of Georgia. Stokes is a fine cornerback but picking a player on defense is crazy after the news of the day.

You would think that mending things with Rodgers would be their number one priority but this pick wasn’t a good step. This is the second year in a row that their draft decision-making in the first round annoys Aaron Rodgers. As Bears fans, we don’t mind seeing them fail despite it not being that way too often. However, having two top-ten all-time great quarterbacks back to back with only two Super Bowls to show for it is pretty funny.

Justin Fields could save some jobs in Chicago. light. Related Story

The Bears had one of the most successful drafts of any team in the league. They definitely had the best draft of any team in their division. If Fields can turn out to be one of those really good quarterbacks that develop properly, this division could belong to the Bears in no time.
