The Chicago Bears could move Roquan Smith if they really want to move way up.

Trading Roquan Smith would mean a lot of things for the Chicago Bears. He is the best player on this list right now and if he stays he would have the biggest impact going forward. He is the only first-round pick that Ryan Pace has made that isn’t a disaster. In fact, he has superstar potential from the linebacker position. However, if the Bears need him to move up to a high draft pick, they should do it.

Smith would look really nice in a lot of different uniforms. Using him in a deal might also mean that the draft capital that they need to give up would be less as well. Most teams probably see him as a highly touted individual that could really help their football team.

Now, if they traded Roquan Smith, they better be getting a good enough draft pick in return to snag the quarterback that they want. If Justin Fields or Tre Lance became a realistic target for them, giving up Smith in a deal would probably be worth it at this point. Having a good defense means nothing in today’s NFL without a good quarterback leading the way on offense.

There are rumors about certain teams willing to trade down in the draft but not much has been said about the Bears that isn’t pure speculation. They certainly are a candidate to be a team that moves up so we will see. If they have to give up a star player to do it, these three fit the bill.
