Chicago Bears NFL Draft 2021: 5 players to target in Round 4 trade

Chicago Bears 4th Round Targets: WR Amari Rodgers, Clemson
The Bears are currently preparing for life without Anthony Miller, who could likely be released after the draft if they haven’t found a trade partner. Already signing Marquise Goodwin, the Bears are in the process of overhauling their receiving core. There are only two who are safe: Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney.
In the fourth round, the Bears could find a gem of an offensive weapon in Clemson’s Amari Rodgers. At just under 5-foot-10, Rodgers is built strong, stocky and like more of a hybrid between running back and receiver. He is a guy you want to get the ball to, no matter how it’s done, and Rodgers is OK with that.
Last season, Rodgers was Trevor Lawrence’s top receiver and caught 77 passes for 1,020 yards and seven scores. Rodgers represents a true, nitty gritty football player. He’s just a dog on the field. He fights for extra yardage. He has excellent hands. His work after the catch doesn’t stop until the whistle blows. He is a high motor, high effort player that the Bears would love to put in the slot.
Beyond making plays as a receiver, Rodgers is an experienced punt returner and could give Tarik Cohen either a breath or time to focus more on offense if need be.
