Chicago Bears 7-Round Mock Draft: Add a key piece in first round
Round Three, Pick 83
The Chicago Bears need to continue adding to their inept offense before 2021.
The Chicago Bears offense is a mess for a variety of reasons. Their quarterback situation has been trash for over 50 years and they have a bad offensive line. Both of those take most of the blame but the wide receiver core is getting weird too. Allen Robinson just had to be franchise tagged as the team’s best offensive player and Anthony Miller is looking like a disaster of a draft pick.
The one bright spot has been the play of Darnell Mooney. He came as a late-round draft pick from 2020 but he (and Robinson, for now) need some help. Going to the blue might be a wise decision if they draft Nico Collins in the third round. No, he isn’t any of the SEC wide-receivers that are going to go in the first round but he is a very good player.
If he tried out on this Bears offense, he would probably make an impact. He didn’t play in 2020 but he had an incredible career at the University of Michigan. His draft stock is rising because of how he played at the Senior Bowl and his Pro Day. If there was a mid-draft receiver to take a chance on, it is Nico Collins of Michigan.
