Using the PFN mock draft simulator the Bears had some choices for the number 20 pick. Tevin Jenkins was there and he has grown as one of my favorite prospects in this draft. However, I still feel like Darrishaw is the superior prospect with All-Pro Left tackle potential. On the flipside, Jenkins’s potential in my opinion will be a solid starting right tackle for plenty of years. This was somewhat an easy decision to make.

As far as the fit, the Bears still have Charles Leno Jr. on the roster, and they resigned Germain Ifedi. If you ask me which one, they will rather move on from, it would be Leno Jr. I feel the coaching staff are higher on Ifedi and think he can still be a solid RT. Darrishaw would come right in and make Leno either expandable or a swing tackle.

With a Darrishaw, James Daniels, and Sam Mustipher, the Bears could have a young nucleus on the offensive line to build around. In the short-term, with veteran Cody Whitehair on paper, it would be the best line they have put together in quite some time.
