Chicago Bears, NFL Draft

In a make or break year, Chicago Bears General Manager Ryan Pace will enter the 2021 NFL draft with a lot of pressure on his shoulders.

With the draft about three weeks away, the Bears still have plenty of work to do with the roster. They still need offensive tackle as they are not 100 percent confident in Charles Leno at left tackle, and right tackle is a question mark even after the Germain Ifedi signing.

They could use another playmaker at a skill position to take less pressure off Allen Robinson and open more opportunities for Darnell Mooney. The quarterback, as usual for us Bears fans, is a need for the team, as they still do not have a long-term option on the roster.

Even on the defensive side where many of us assume it is the strongest part of the team, that side of the ball has plenty of needs. Jaylon Johnson showed promise as a lock-down cornerback, but with Kyle Fuller’s departure, cornerback becomes a need.

Do you feel comfortable with Deon Bush as the starting strong safety alongside Eddie Jackson? We know what Khalil Mack provides as an edge rusher, but everyone after him is a question mark.

There is a part of the fan base that believes that the Bears are still can contend in the NFC. On the other side, some feel that the Bears are a year away from a total rebuild. You can make an argument for both sides of the spectrum.

The Bears will try to answer some of those question marks on April 29th, but in the meantime, we try to take our guess how the Bears will approach the draft. Using the Pro Football Network mock draft simulator, I step into General Manager Ryan Pace’s shoes on how he should approach this upcoming draft.
