Chicago Bears: Three trade packages for Atlanta’s fourth overall pick
The Chicago Bears could move Roqua Smith with picks to move up into the top five.
If the Chicago Bears want to make this trade, multiple first-round picks are going to be involved. Every trade package going forward going here is going to involve those. What makes this one different is that instead of being three firsts, it is two firsts and Roquan Smith. That along with a 2021 second-round pick is something that might get the deal done. It may even not be enough but it is a good place to start.
Roquan Smith is the only first-round pick that Ryan Pace has actually hit on. The rest have pretty much been all big-time failures. It is fair to be cautious about letting him do this but he should have been fired if they aren’t going to let him do his job. If Matt Nagy and his staff identify someone that they believe will help them at the quarterback position, they need to jump on it.
This trade would be one that is for sure something that makes or breaks Pace. He is in big trouble if they don’t have a good year anyway so he might as well go for it. The Bears are going nowhere with Andy Dalton so giving up Roquan Smith to get the quarterback they want is necessary.
