The Chicago Bears may have to work out a deal much earlier than anticipated

A recent report has the Atlanta Falcons taking calls in regards to their fourth overall pick in the upcoming draft. If they deal the pick to a team in need of a quarterback, then the Bears might be completely out of luck altogether.

You can kiss a first-round quarterback goodbye if the Falcons trade the pick to any team other than the Bears, because that would all but guarantee five quarterbacks going in the top 10 picks.

The only scenario that would prevent this from happening is if another team desperately wanted Florida tight end Kyle Pitts, who some look at as the second or third best prospect in the draft. If another team came up to get Pitts, then the Bears still have a fighting chance at moving up inside the top 10.

Now, on the other hand, the Bears could risk everything and move up to number four to get their quarterback. It would cost a fortune, but this is a team desperate for a solution under center.

We’re still a few weeks away, but there are many moving parts that could continue moving all the way up until draft weekend. What we do know is this: the Bears will have to move up if they want any chance at one of the top five quarterbacks in this draft class.
