The Chicago Blackhawks landing a second-round pick would be really nice.

The Chicago Blackhawks have a really nice find in Mattias Janmark. He has been awesome for them all season long so far and doesn’t look like someone who is going to fall off any time soon. The Bruins could really use a depth scorer like that on their team right now. He has ten goals and nine assists for 19 points in 38 games for Chicago this year. He is also coming off a year where he went to the Stanley Cup Final with the Dallas Stars.

That type of player is exactly what Boston should be looking for right now. They don’t score at even strength and it is well noted across the league. If they can just add a little more scoring touch to their bottom-six they would be back to being a Stanley Cup contender. Their defense, goaltending, and star power on the top line are all top-notch so Janmark would be going into a good situation for himself.

The Hawks getting a second-round pick for him would be really nice. If they do their scouting well enough, second-round picks can become very good players. Landing a high-quality pick for a player you signed in the offseason on a one-year deal is good asset management so it would be cool to see them get it done.
