Chicago Bears must look at these remaining free agents

Chicago Bears remaining free agent targets: S Malik Hooker
Safety has been an interesting position for the Bears over the past few seasons. Since losing Adrian Amos, the team has plugged in a couple of veterans next to Eddie Jackson. Last year, it was Tashaun Gipson, who is still a free agent and may end up returning.

The team did bring back Deon Bush, who has long awaited a chance to start in this league, yet continues to come back to the Bears. Will this be his year, finally?
If it’s not Bush, then the Bears will need to look to the draft to fill that void.
One safety, in particular, who could provide a polarizing fit is free agent Malik Hooker. Once looked at as an up-and-coming safety in this league, Hooker is now looking for a job after coming off an Achilles injury.
He may not be a great fit at strong safety, therefore he might not start for the Bears. But, if he isn’t signed in the near future, maybe he is looking at a backup position to try and rejuvenate his career.
At the very least, if the Bears signed Hooker, their safety room would be that much deeper. Chicago has taken free safeties and placed them alongside Jackson in the past couple of years, so maybe it works with a guy like Hooker. Although some would probably prefer rolling with Bush or going by way of the draft, Hooker is an interesting free agent.
He’s only 25 years old still, and a former first-round pick for a reason. Keep that in mind.
