Three Chicago Bears free agents to consider bringing back

Cordarrelle Patterson is someone for the Chicago Bears to consider right now.

Cordarrelle Patterson is currently a free agent after a couple of years with the Chicago Bears. He was mismanaged a lot but there is no doubt that he can be helpful to a team like them. Matt Nagy likes to do his weird special plays and Patterson is perfect for that but he can’t be used to run the ball more than once a down. Sometimes he was used too much but he is still worth keeping.

Patterson can catch passes and run the ball which makes him a dual-threat on offense. He makes his money, however, in the kick return game. The Chicago Bears know what it is like to have an elite return game as the greatest of all time, Devin Hester, did it for them for a long time. Patterson provides some of that on special teams for them.

Resigning him would also keep him from joining a division rival. There has been some talk out there about him returning to his old team in the Minnesota Vikings. That wouldn’t be fun to see because he clearly likes being a Chicago Bear.

He had tweets that made it seem like he was a part of the team when Wilson was in the trade rumors but now it seems like he is closer to being gone. If the Bears were smart they would absolutely bring him back.
