Chicago Bears Draft Prospects with Hometown Ties: IOL Robert Jones

Hometown: Chicago, IL

Back to the other side of the ball and the giants up front. This is not a topic we will stray away from until the Bears get their situation figured out across the offensive line, along with adding the necessary depth.

Knowing Ryan Pace, he is likely to take at least one small school prospect in the upcoming draft. If he does so later on, finding Middle Tennessee’s Robert Jones might just be the correct pick. The Bears could potentially find him on Day 3 of the draft, and he’d come with a luxury.

Jones is yet another lineman who could play multiple positions. Between junior college and Middle Tennessee, Jones played both guard and tackle. But, entering the pros, he is likely projected best on the inside due to his lack of athleticism.

He could afford to get a little more pep in his step, but Jones is a force. He’s an absolute wrecker in terms of his upper body power. He loves putting opposing defensive linemen on the ground when he gets the chance. He certainly packs a punch and could develop into a nice reserve lineman, especially if he is able to convince NFL coaches he can still play multiple positions.
