Having JuJu Smith-Shuster on the Chicago Bears would certainly help the offense.

The Chicago Bears really need help at the wide receiver position. That means they should go for one of the good ones in free agency right now. It is especially true if they really are going to bring in a great quarterback as the rumors say. JuJu Smith-Shuster is one of those players that the Bears should strongly consider. If he came to this offense, they would be looking really nice going forward.

He had a subpar season in 2020 for his standards as he didn’t even eclipse 1000 yards. That was the second year in a row that he was a bit underwhelming but there has also been the decline of Ben Roethlisberger. If he came to a team with a good quarterback (hopefully, that is true about the Bears), Smith-Shuster should shine as he did in 2018. His season that year earned him a trip to the NFL’s Pro Bowl.

The Bears should probably be close to done with Anthony Miller as the number two guy. Smith-Shuster would be much better in that role with Robinson as the number one. You could even argue that would make Darnell Mooney the number three and Miller the number four. If that is your group, you all of the sudden look like a nice team of weapons.

Of course, none of this is even worth it if they trot Nick Foles out there next season. They would be certain to have a bad year in that case which would result in the firing of both Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy. The Bears need to make sure this offense gets fixed otherwise they are in trouble.
