5. Sean Desai needs to get the Chicago Bears defense back on top.

The Chicago Bears are going to have a new defensive coordinator next season. They hired Sean Desai to replace Chuck Pagano this offseason. The Bears were the best defense in the National Football League during the 2018 season but have slowly started to come back down to earth. They are still very good at point prevention but the takeaways aren’t what they once were.

This is a nice group to take in if you are a new defensive coordinator. There are some really nice pieces that you can work with. For Desai, it will be about making sure the team is ready to compete. The hope is that the offense relieves their playing time a little bit going forward which should make it easy on everyone. It will be interesting to see how the star players respond.

6. Robert Quinn playing well is one of the Chicago Bears’ biggest needs.

The Chicago Bears invested a lot of money in Robert Quinn the last offseason and he did not make a good first impression. One of Sean Desai’s biggest task’s this year is figuring out a way to make Quinn as comfortable as possible. He didn’t look as good as we thought he would with guys like Khalil Mack and Akiem Hicks next to him and we don’t even know who will line up with him next year based on the rumors. It is very important that the Bears make sure Quinn is ready to go for 2021 regardless of who is around him.
