3. The Chicago Bears need to figure out the Allen Robinson situation even more.

The Chicago Bears have some nice players around the quarterback. For a few years now, one of those players has been Allen Robinson. His contract was up at the end of the 2020 season so a lot of people were speculating what is going to happen with that. Well, the Bears decided to use the franchise tag on him. It feels like a no-brainer because he is the best player they have on offense and it isn’t close.

The problem now is that we don’t know how happy he is. He seems like he wants a long-term deal but they haven’t been able to figure one out for a while now. Based on social media activity, it is clear that Robinson isn’t happy with the franchise tag. As a result, the Bears need to get him signed and happy otherwise they should trade him. Nothing is worse than having a player who doesn’t like his situation.

4. The Chicago Bears need to establish a run game early and often in 2021.

For a while now, the Chicago Bears haven’t been as effective as they need to be running the football. That needs to change and it needs to change fast. Matt Nagy says “I know we need to run the ball more, I’m not an idiot” but then doesn’t run the ball more.

When the Bears started to look good again down the stretch last year, they were running the ball more. David Montgomery is a great player that can have multiple 1000 yard seasons if they just feed him more. It would also be nice to get Tarik Cohen back and healthy so they can have a formidable dual threat in the backfield. This is something that would make a new quarterback’s life a lot easier as well.
