The Bears could be aggressive in this draft and trade up into the top-five. The Cincinnati Bengals select at exactly that, the number five pick in the draft. This would solidify the ability to take Lance, with much optimism the Bears could get lucky with a quarterback slipping too.

Good for the Bears, the Bengals need help in a lot of areas, not just offensive line. The Bears could offer up more defensive pieces. Since the Bengals might need another year or two to continue their rebuild, they would take all the draft picks they can get their hands on.

Phew, this is a lot to take in. Giving up that many draft picks and a huge defensive asset is not easy. Luckily for the Bears, they do have Bilal Nichols and Eddie Goldman to help cover the defensive loss on the line. However, they will have to bite the bullet in draft picks. It would be worth it if a quarterback like Justin Fields somehow slips out of the top-three picks. Plus, with a rookie quarterback and Hicks off the books, the Bears could make a splash in free agency.

The Bengals are getting a lot out of this. Akiem Hicks would largely help the fact that the Bengals produced just 17 sacks last season, the third-worst figure in the NFL. Plus, the Bengals could use the future high draft picks to load up on the offensive line and defensive figures too.
