Chicago Bears: Three roster player trades to make for Russell Wilson
Two Chicago Bears’ defensive backs might really help them get a deal done.
Of course, just like before, more first-round picks are included. This time, they are getting two defensive backs to go with them. Giving the Seahawks some defensive help in exchange for Wilson might be the only way they think about accepting the deal. They also need to be really good players which the Bears have many of on that side of the ball. If they made one of these “defense for quarterback” type deals, the team would more than likely become a contender right away.
Kyle Fuller is one of the best Bears players over the last few years. He had a weird time starting his career but things have gone well for him since he figured it out. He was amongst the NFL’s top defensive backs in the year that they went 12-4 which earned him the respect that he now has. We all know that the offense’s ineptitude is a large reason for the defense taking a bit of a step back over the last few years. It is hard to look like a good defense when you are always on the field.
As for Jaylon Johnson, he is one of the youngest assets on the team that another team would want. He can help a team for a long time but he still needs to go out there and prove it more. If the Bears didn’t have to give him up, it would be nice because then they can see how he develops for them. However, if the Seahawks required him in a trade for Russell Wilson, the Bears should do it immediately. We don’t know if there is truly anything to these rumors but you just never know.
