The Chicago Bears might be looking to get a bit younger on the defensive side of the ball.

The Chicago Bears have had a really good defense for a few years now. They have a lot of superstars but the rest of the team hasn’t helped them one bit. The offense’s inability to move the ball has put so much extra pressure on the defense. As the defense starts to age a little bit, it sounds like the Bears might be improving their offense. If they do, getting a little bit younger on defense would help with balancing out the entire roster.

Haason Reddick might be able to help out with that. He is a linebacker that is coming off a great season with the Arizona Cardinals. They decided not to franchise tag him after having that great year for them. He led the team in sacks with 12.5 and had 16 quarterback hits. That is the type of player that the Bears could bring in to try and get a little bit younger (Reddick is 26).

If the Bears traded Roquan Smith this offseason for a quarterback, they might need someone to help replace him. That could be the case for anyone on the team. They might even bring the same crew back but you can never have enough depth. Adding someone like Reddick would be a smart move for sure. All of these guys who weren’t tagged might be happy about it but they also might have a chip on their shoulder. The Bears need lots of players who want to win.
