The Chicago Bears could consider a big rival’s running back for 2021.

The Chicago Bears are pretty set with a number one running back. When Matt Nagy uses David Montgomery right, he can be a very good back. The problem has been Matt Nagy not using him right for a long time but they did see flashes from him in 2020. Tarik Cohen is also there who is good in certain situations but adding another really good running back would be a big help.

Taking Aaron Jones from the Green Bay Packers would be great for a variety of reasons. For one, it would take a really good running back from the best team in the division. He had 1104 yards in 2020 so he was extremely effective. If the Bears added a back like that to play with David Montgomery, they would be so set.

Green Bay didn’t tag him but the plan is for them to bring him back anyway.  They want to sign him to a deal that didn’t include the big money he probably would have earned from the tag. It would also probably be more than one year too. With the cap going down, it is something that makes sense.  Running backs are becoming very hard to pay for a long time in today’s NFL. If he was willing to come to the Bears, however, he is absolutely worth considering.
