Chicago Bears: Three non-franchise tagged players to consider
The Chicago Bears adding a local kid would be really cool to see, especially an elite one.
Imagine being a hometown kid playing for your favorite team that you grew up around. That would be a case if the Chicago Bears brought in Kenny Golladay. He played college football at Northern Illinois University. While playing at NIU, he was one of the best wide receivers in the nation. If he went to a bigger school like Alabama, Ohio State, or LSU, he might have been an even higher draft pick than he was (96th overall).
Seeing him go play for the Lions was tough for NIU people who are also Bears fans but it was awesome to see him so successful. The Lions made the decision not to tag him this offseason. It is a money decision as the salary cap is going down and he is going to get a good amount of money. He deserves it because he is one of the best wide receivers in the National Football League.
If the Bears had him playing in an offense that also included Allen Robinson, they would have one of the most dynamic duos in the league. Depending on who they get at quarterback, that could really be something special to watch. Getting this offense to score more points needs to be the number one priority this offseason and adding someone like Golladay would help that.
