Chicago Bears draft targets to compliment Russell Wilson: WR Marlon Williams, UCF

Another offensive weapon who should intrigue Bears fans after a Wilson trade is Marlon Williams out of UCF. He’s one of the more under-the-radar types in this year’s draft, but his skill set is legitimate.

Williams would give Wilson yet another playmaker down field and also someone who makes terrific grabs in a crowd — perfect for that improvising Wilson is so good at. Williams can track a ball and high-point it with the best of them, but he does most of his damage from the slot.

The Bears could be looking to move on from Anthony Miller, who currently owns that slot job. Williams is a bigger slot receiver and would prove Wilson with a sure-handed security blanket at that position.

Last year at UCF, Williams had a career year. He caught 71 passes for 1,037 yards and 10 touchdowns in only eight games for the Knights.

The Bears’ wide receiver room could look totally different this coming season, even if Wilson is under center. It all depends on the Robinson conundrum. No matter what, you can bet the Bears are drafting at least one receiver, and Williams could be that guy in the middle rounds.
